Everpool Recruitment has an inspiring journey that originated as a branch of Meridian Business Support Ltd, specifically in the Health and Social Care permanent sector. In 2021, as part of a strategic demerger, our dedicated owner, Rod, sold Meridian Shares. This pivotal moment led Rod and Ged to acquire the Liverpool branch (Perm H&SC) and lay the foundation for Everpool Recruitment.
Following the demerger, a comprehensive employee survey was conducted, leading to impactful changes. We reduced working hours from 42 to 37.5, resulting in a remarkable 10% pay increase. We also introduced enhanced flexibility, hybrid working options, and new benefits like Medicash and Death in Service, fostering a positive work environment.

Everpool’s growth trajectory is remarkable, with the Health and Social Care sector achieving a turnover of 2 million in 2021–2022, expanding to 2.7 million. We diversified into a multi-sector permanent consultancy and achieved over 3 million in sales in 2023, venturing into new sectors like Office & Commercial, Engineering, Legal & IT, Legal Costs, Property & Construction, Finance, and Fashion & Beauty.
Team and Culture:
Our team has grown from 18 to 30 people in two years, and we have plans for further expansion. Our culture is about community – working together, sharing best practices, good news, and splitting fees.
