Our client boasts a heritage of 40+ years in the Cheshire region with a modern Chester City Centre office offering a range of bespoke legal services. This is an opportunity for an ambitious and experienced solicitor with at least 1-year PQE to join an ever-growing property litigation team specialising in a range of dispute cases.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • You will oversee a diverse caseload of property litigation matters, encompassing residential and commercial disputes.
  • This includes handling dilapidation claims, boundary disputes, easements and covenants, notices under the Landlord and Tenant Act, associated possession claims, break notices, property: related professional negligence claims, injunctions against trespassers, and agricultural disputes involving AHA tenancies and partnership disputes.
  • Engage directly with clients, meet deadlines, and provide supervision to junior staff.
  • Commercial awareness and proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain focus under pressure.
  • Close collaboration with the firm’s property team to build relationships, secure work from current clients and contacts, and foster the growth of new connections.

Requirements:

  • Qualified as solicitor / CILEX qualified with at least 1-year PQE
  • Proven experience of working towards and meeting chargeable and billing targets
  • Business acumen and the willingness to network
  • Resilience with the ability to embrace change.
