An exciting full-time opportunity has arisen as a Head of Finance (HoFA) to head up an innovative start-up Law Firm. Our client already has an established client base of £800,000 of client fee earning potential in the first year, with referral business from a well-established Specialist Law Firm in wills, trusts and conveyancing.
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance / Financial Director who has working in the legal sector. Ideally experience in a Compliance Officer for Finance + Administration (CoFA or HoFA) would be desired.
Job Details and Benefits:

Main duties and responsibilities:
- As the Head of Finance & Legal Operations, you will lead and optimise the company and its subsidiaries’ financial and legal functions.
- You will provide strategic leadership while working closely with the executive team to ensure compliance, effective financial management, and legal protection.
- Client to office transfers, client to client transfers, matter listing with balances, cashbook and a reconciliation summary.
- Ensuring effective governance, oversight and delivery of significant financial investment and ensuring financial security, probity and sustainability within an organisation.
What we need from you:
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
- Overseeing and ensuring compliance of firms regulatory requirements to ensure firms ongoing SRA authorisation.
- Ideally experience in a Compliance Officer for Finance + Administration (CoFA or HoFA) would be desired.
