We are currently seeking individuals with claims experience, ideally in Household or Property, to join our dynamic team in Newcastle under Lyme. As a Claims Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing insurance claims across a multi-client team, ensuring a smooth and efficient process from start to finish.
Position: Claims Handler (Property)
Location: Hybrid role based in the centre of Newcastle under Lyme, ST5 (3 days office based, 2 days from home)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7.5 hours per day, with a 1-hour lunch break, totalling 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 per annum depending on experience (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Own a caseload of insurance claims and manage them through every stage of the process.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, clients, and suppliers, handling inquiries via phone, email, and our bespoke messaging service.
- Take ownership of the customer journey, providing timely updates and resolutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Engage proactively with clients, customers, and suppliers to gather necessary information and facilitate the claims process effectively.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in claims handling, preferably in Household or Property.
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to various bespoke systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
