Market leading retailer are seeking and Assistant Merchandiser to join their expanding company to assist the Merchandiser on a day-to-day basis through effective planning, managing the supply base, re-forecasting sales and intake and ensuring optimum range availability
This role is perfect for a fashion graduate who has done an internship in a retailer or an enthusiastic MAA who is looking for fast track career progression in a rapidly expanding retailer.
Responsibilities / Objectives:
- To manage the delivery schedule in line with stock and intake targets
- To work with the Buying team to manage the critical path
- To maintain good working relationships with internal and external suppliers
- To identify sales/stock opportunities and threats through line reporting and analysis
- To maintain accuracy of Line Cards to maximise the availability of core lines
- To support the Merchandiser in preparing for meetings and presentations
- To give support and direction to the Merchandise Administrator
- To deputise for the Merchandiser as required

Selection Criteria:
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
- Previous Merchandising experience required
- IT literate and confident user of Excel formulae
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Excellent communicator
- Numerical and methodical approach
- Attention to detail
- Works well under pressure
- A proven self-starter
