Assistant Merchandiser

Market leading  retailer are seeking and Assistant Merchandiser to join their expanding company to assist the Merchandiser on a day-to-day basis through effective planning, managing the supply base, re-forecasting sales and intake and ensuring optimum range availability
This role is perfect for a fashion graduate who has done an internship in a retailer or an enthusiastic MAA who is looking for fast track career progression in a rapidly expanding retailer.
Responsibilities / Objectives:

  • To manage the delivery schedule in line with stock and intake targets
  • To work with the Buying team to manage the critical path
  • To maintain good working relationships with internal and external suppliers
  • To identify sales/stock opportunities and threats through line reporting and analysis
  • To maintain accuracy of Line Cards to maximise the availability of core lines
  • To support the Merchandiser in preparing for meetings and presentations
  • To give support and direction to the Merchandise Administrator
  • To deputise for the Merchandiser as required

Selection Criteria:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Previous Merchandising experience required
  • IT literate and confident user of Excel formulae
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent communicator
  • Numerical and methodical approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Works well under pressure
  • A proven self-starter
