Location: Huyton
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
 
We are seeking a compassionate and driven Registered Manager to lead a 28-day crisis children’s home, providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people in need.
 
About the Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and support for children experiencing crisis situations. You will lead a skilled team, implement care plans, and maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations, all while striving for the best outcomes for the young people in your care.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the staff team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding policies.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans for young people.
  • Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance.
  • Build strong relationships with external agencies, families, and professionals.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure smooth operations.

 
 
What We’re Looking For:

  • Essential: NVQ 3 – Level 3 Diploma (QCF) qualified in Children and Young People’s workforce (or equivalent)
  • Desirable: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a children’s residential setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding protocols, and crisis intervention strategies.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations effectively.
