Everpool Recruitment is on the hunt for General Practitioners/Medical Doctors like you, ready to take on an exciting and challenging opportunity as a qualified Functional Assessor. π©Ίπ This role calls for your extensive medical experience as you carry out health assessments and examinations for individuals with long-term disabilities and illnesses, applying for the government-funded benefit called Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). This benefit is granted to individuals with limited or no capability for employment due to their health condition. π‘οΈπ
As a Functional Assessor, you won’t be treating, advising, referring, diagnosing, or rehabilitating. Instead, you’ll assess how disabilities and illnesses may affect a person’s functionality in performing work-related tasks. Your role involves compiling clear and concise evidence-based reports ππ based on your assessment findings, aiding the decision-making process.
What’s In It For You:
- πΌ Permanent position with full-time and part-time hours available.
- π Standard working hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (no weekends, nights, or bank holidays).
- π‘ Hybrid working option: 3 days on siteΒ and 2 days from home per week (*Training on site initially).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- π Undertake file-work and face-to-face/telephone assessments for a variety of benefits and provide reports to the DWP.
- π₯οΈ Use IT software for clinical decision-making during file-work and examinations.
- π€ Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team and foster positive relationships with clinical colleagues and support staff.
Role Summary:
- πΌ Starting Salary: Β£72,000 per annum.
- π Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm (37.5 hours).
