We are currently recruiting for an ever-growing Law firm in Liverpool. The law firm are an expert accident and housing disrepair solicitors and providers of personal injury advice, services and support.

We are looking for a Legal Compliance Officer who is passionate about fostering a culture of growth and development through coaching and relationship building. In this role you will lead, construct, review and maintain compliance policies, procedures and processes to ensure that the systems and controls framework is adequate and up to date. You will work closely with our managers and senior solicitors to create a fully compliant environment.

 
Main duties and responsibilities

  • Performing routine risk assessments to help the firm understand compliance risk, scope and significance
  • Monitoring the firms compliance with regulations and internal policies to ensure they are up to date with the relevant laws
  • Educating employees on compliance regulations and the impact of non-compliance on the organisation
  • Recording their findings properly and following up with management to ensure the issues are rectified
  • Reviewing marketing materials, websites and presentations to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Assisting in the gathering of information internally in response to requests by regulatory organisations
  • Collaborating with management from other departments to ensure compliance and investigating irregularities.
  • Ensure that a prompt report is made to us of any serious breach of the terms and conditions of your firm’s authorisation, or the regulatory arrangements which apply to your firm, managers or employees.
