Our friendly, family orientated client is a leading law firm, and is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Officer to support their Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP). With a strong commitment to regulatory compliance, we are looking for an individual with legal expertise and a keen understanding of the SRA rules. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining our client’s compliance standards.

**Position Overview:**

As a Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the firm’s adherence to regulatory requirements and supporting the COLP in all aspects of Risk and Compliance. This critical role requires a self-starter who can work independently, communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the firm, and contribute to the ongoing success of our compliance initiatives.

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Play a key role in ensuring the firm’s compliance with regulatory requirements.

– Support and assist the COLP and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in all aspects of Risk and Compliance.

– Update and monitor the firm’s Office Manual, including all compliance policies and procedures.

– Assist with handling complaints and claims.

– Act as the first point of contact for staff compliance queries.

– Administer, update, and provide training on the firm’s compliance platform (Riliance).

– Organise monthly Risk and Compliance meetings, including agenda preparation and minute-taking.

– Produce monthly and annual Compliance reports and collate relevant information.

**Qualifications:**

– Legal experience is essential.

– Excellent understanding of the SRA rules.

– Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate competence in a compliance role.

– Strong problem-solving capabilities.

– Friendly and approachable.

– IT literacy is a must.

– Vehicle ownership and a full driving license are required.
