Are you a Consultant Rheumatologist looking for an exciting locum opportunity? We are seeking a dedicated professional to join a well-established and dynamic Rheumatology team within a leading NHS Trust.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Rheumatology services to patients in line with NHS standards.
  • Provide comprehensive care, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of rheumatological conditions.
  • Supervise and support junior doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.
  • Actively engage in clinical governance, audit, and service improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in research and clinical trials as appropriate.
  • Provide cover for consultant colleagues during reasonable periods of leave.

Person Specification:
Essential:

  • MBBS/MBCHB and MRCP (or equivalent qualification).
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
  • At least five years of supervised training in an appropriate specialist training programme in Rheumatology.
  • Proven experience in delivering high-standard patient care.
  • Experience in clinical audit and governance.

Desirable:

  • Higher degree (MD/PhD) or equivalent.
  • Entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or within six months of CCT completion at the time of interview).
  • Experience in service development and leadership.
