We are seeking three Consultant Geriatricians to join an established and expanding Medicine for the Elderly (DME) department in a leading NHS Trust in the East Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care for older adults.
About the Role
This role offers the chance to work across multiple hospital sites, with well-established inpatient geriatric wards and expanding community outreach services. You will join a dynamic multidisciplinary team that provides specialized care in frailty, falls, orthogeriatric, Parkinson’s disease, and movement disorders. The department has a strong academic presence and research opportunities, with close ties to national bodies in geriatric medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient care to older adults.
- Support and develop specialist services, including frailty, movement disorders, and community geriatrics.
- Contribute to medical education by training and mentoring junior doctors and medical students.
- Participate in clinical research, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care pathways.

Candidate Requirements:
- GMC registration with a license to practice and eligibility for entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT/CESR completion).
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) or equivalent.
- Extensive experience in geriatric medicine, including inpatient and outpatient care.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to teaching, training, and research.
